An opportunity to head sales for a leading Australian boutique winery!

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a proven, success-driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, and managing people. Cellar Door and DtC sales, and on-site venues are the company’s principal revenue sources. National wholesale is targeted for growth.

Based in Mudgee and reporting to CEO, David Lowe, this is a hands-on, senior management role whose key responsibilities will include:
• Executive and financial management responsibility for the all sales channels. 
• Manage the established Cellar Door sales team of approx. 7 people
• Developing and implementing effective Cellar Door and events-based sales and national growth strategies
• Achieving and managing cellar door sales incl. on-site,  online/wine club/DtC
• Conduct VIP wine tastings and  host events
• Lead, roster, mentor and train cellar door staff
• Developing and maintaining effective communication channels with key opinion makers-locally, and in the Australian wine and tourism media.

You will need:
• At least 5 years’ management experience in  the above sales channels, with responsibility for financial,  budgetary and performance outcomes
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
• A strong interest in food and wine
An existing range of wine and tourism media contacts is highly desirable.

An excellent salary package, including vehicle allowance, a performance-based bonus (and relocation costs, as appropriate) will be offered to the preferred candidate.
