About UsIan Perrett founded Wine & Vine Personnel in 1999. At the time there was no recruitment company operating solely on the wine industry and focussing on staff at the tertiary trained level. Wine & Vine Personnel has since developed it's own distinct methodology which has provided satisfactory to both clients and candidates throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Ian travels through the wine regions regularly to gain an insight into the conditions and culture of the operations for which Wine & Vine are required to place candidates, thus ensuring a more realistic match of the skills and personalities available to fill the operational positions. The personal contacts established in this way also assist in gaining more accurate feed back from past employers during the rigorous checks on candidates which Wine & Vine undertake when considering them for positions. Prior to founding Wine and Vine, Ian spent thirty years in public companies serving the agricultural and wine sectors. He spent seven years as Australian General Manager of Boral Cyclone Rural, suppliers of wire and buildings to the wine industry. Ian also served on the board of Boral Steel. Ian has had a lifetime interest in wine starting in his early years including contact with the legendary Maurice O’Shea. Ian is tertiary qualified in Agriculture and Management, is a fellow of the Institute of Company Directors and a former member of two grants boards established by the Commonwealth Government to assist rural businesses. For a number of years Ian served as a member of the Industrial Relations Council of the Queensland Confederation of Industry. In his thirty years experience in sales, marketing, export and general management, Ian has recruited literally hundreds of people to fill positions ranging from technical to senior management in ‘blue chip’ companies. His experience in people management and recruitment brings to Wine & Vine Personnel a high level of professionalism. To learn more about how we can help you 'click' here. |
